Dean Hovell
Dean spent more than 22 years at ABC News. Starting as a tape editor he won his first Emmy award for coverage at the Winter Olympics in Calgary in 1988.
In 2000, Dean ended his ABC career as Senior Operations Producer for
World News Tonight with Peter Jennings in the Washington News Bureau. He also won his second Emmy for his production work on ABC’s Millennium Special. In that time Dean covered all the major news events over two decades, traveling from Haiti to Bosnia and Moscow to Somalia. National Security was the story he was telling, but news and television production was his expertise.
Dean started Locked-On Communications in April of 2000 with the goal of taking advantage of the new digital wave and combining his production experience to join the Internet, digital theatre and television production into a seamless digital transmission in whatever format, in whatever venue.
